Lab Grown Diamonds Biggest Disruptor in the
Ladies and Gentlemen in Pawnland!
Updates for THE “Strategic Operational Enhancement Work Shop Series”
Dates for our first roll out this season will be August 23rd – 25th in Ft. Worth Texas.
This industry has changed more in the past 30 years than in its prior 3000 years of existence. The one constant that we do preach to all of our clients and at all speaking engagements is that the only constant in today’s world is “Change” and we must remain diligent at all times to continuously raise the bar and the standards for conducting business in the new Millennium.
Because of our unique active relationship with clients around the world today it places us in a position to constantly monitor trends and changes in our industry in real time.
We strive to deliver up what those trends are along with “Best Practices” at all times so that we can share with our growing community globally what we are witnessing up close and up front.
PCG has illustrated thru our Famed – Industry Focus Groups our International Pawn Symposiums and our Camp series that we can and will continue to deliver up the very best knowledge and skill set programs available for the pawn industry today.
PCG Cowtown Work-Shop
We have selected the 4-Diamond – Worthington Renaissance Hotel in Downtown Ft. Worth to host our first work-shop for the 2014 season.
Here is a link with info about the Worthington – it is right in downtown Ft. Worth all within walking distance to many of the city’s best cultural and eating establishments that are offered.
This year PCG will be taking our group out one of the evenings’ for a memorable experience in what is known as true “Cowtown” which is what Ft. Worth is so admirably referred to as.
Ft. Worth’s scenic North-side and famed Stockyards were one of the busiest stock processing areas in the country back in the day and still resembles much of the old west as it once was and is rich with cultural and historical activities.

PCG is proud to list our initial list of sponsors and activities that we have planned for our new twist on the work-shop series we are introducing for 2014 and beyond.
This upcoming work-shop in Ft. Worth Texas features some of the following individuals and groups that will be presenting at our upcoming event:
Jim Littman – DMB Partnership – Development – Marketing – Branding
Jim has a long history of business development with engagements and activities with some of the most prestigious operators operating today with groups like the Gemological Institute of America, Serin Diamond Technologies, Gemex and Euri to name a few.
Jim is a business consultant with more than 30 years of experience growing companies. He has a long list of skillsets and services with an emphasis on Professional Executive Coaching with (Graduate Psychoanalysis/management degrees)
The series Jim will be delivering up is the Spin-Selling work-shop that IS an intense hands-on approach on how to develop, culture and deliver high-closing ratio’s to any consumer base in our aggressively changing retail lending environments. Jim has a long history of public speaking engagements and is a very creative and entertaining thought provoking public speaker and much more.
PCG is proud to have teamed up with Jim again and this promises to be a very high-level program that will be introduced for the first time to the Pawn Community at this upcoming work-shop.
The next area of focus for this work-shop will be with another strategic alliance PCG has formed with Tony Gallo of Sapphire Protection.
Tony Gallo – Sapphire Protection
Today the Industry is in more peril from criminal elements than at any other time in history. Criminals can be working internally and externally to undermine the safety of your personnel and the contents of your operations.
Today smash and grabs and armed robberies are up significantly and will continue to rise as the economy continues to diminish.
Tony was a loss prevention specialist for more than 15 years for one of the publicly traded pawn companies and provides a significant history in loss-prevention that is mainly pawn specific.
This work-shop will focus on the many safety practices and solutions in today’s operations as it pertains to robbery prevention as well as many tips of the trade on daily procedural activities to help insure the integrity of the operations themselves.
Next area of emphasis that PCG considers to be of extreme importance is high-value watches. We have witnessed many pawnbrokers today who have limited to no skill sets when it comes to dealing in high-value watches.
Watch Certification Services of America – WCSA
PCG through our extensive involvement in the industry has teamed up with WCSA to present at our upcoming event to educate our operators on how to deal in these missed opportunities up close and up front with their high-level watch authentication services as well as a litany of PCG approved vendors to trade, value, buy and sell these inventory types in our operations.
We are witnessing so many lost opportunities because many pawnbrokers do not have the skill-set or knowledge to securely deal in these higher value assets and as such this spells missed opportunities big time.
ONLINE LISTING – Craig’s List / EBay / Website
Another aspect of what PCG is witnessing is that the industry need to continuously source for new avenues or extended avenues to create additional traffic and revenues for the stores.
We have teamed up with a high-technology company that delivers an easy to use platform that will allow any operator to very easily photograph and list any and all of their inventory right up onto Craig’s list and other platforms as well as their company websites creating their own web-stores.
The advantage to Craigslist unlike other online listing platforms is that organic searches in store market areas create enhanced foot-traffic for those stores and increase SEO for those with web sites.
This is a huge aspect of creating more traffic, more sales, more revenues and more visibility on the WWW and is an increasing activity we are witnessing with the aggressive competitive nature of the world in which we conduct business in today.
This platform allows the users to easily identify, track, update and have up to the minute analysis and reporting features of the entire product and inventory online by store and much more.
Social Media Trends and More – ButterMilk Media Steven Moore
On the subject of technology PCG’s own Steven Moore will be delivering an interactive session on today’s trends in the social media environment. Today with Google transitioning its alga-rhythms every nanosecond along with new trends from Facebook and other forms of social media it’s imperative to stay on top of the trends in real time more so than ever before.
Here are some interesting trends on Social Media as reported by PewResearch – 64% of American Adults utilize Facebook and as many as half of those users are getting their news there as well.
http://www.journalism.org/2013/11/14/news-use-across-social-media-platforms/
This promises to be an extremely informative session with real applications and testimonials from other pawnbrokers on what works and what does not work out in the world of Social Media.
Many PCG clients have seen significant results with direct marketing products and services on social media fronts utilizing their online presence to maximize opportunities for the operations. Come see the latest spin on this ever changing world from one of the industry’s most informed online specialists – Steve Moore.

PCG Merchandising Programs – M&M Merchandisers
PCG continues our long term relationship with M&M and is proud to announce their continued support of our merchandising programs and relationship with the Pawn industry in general.
M&M has been out there for more than 30 years offering pawnbrokers and more a wide-range of products that compliments any operator on just about any level.
In today’s aggressively changing competitive environment, it remains to be important to constantly mix new inventories in to compliment the sale of product we generate internally as well as offering new lines of product to the consumer base.
PCG has perfected merchandising programs that allow users to stock filler products, how to retail price and how to blast price product to maximize inventory rotations, inventory yields and ultimately cash flow which all hits the bottom lines.
PCG will be doing a piece with M&M illustrating how these programs flow thru their operations and how the whole process works. See why M&M remains to be the largest supplier of inventory to the industry today and remains to be a huge supporter of our beloved industry.
