There have been many developments since our announcement for the return of the Pawnshop Consulting Group’s International Pawn Symposium.
2025 Theme – In search of lost knowledge and treasure, in the ancient city of Atlantis!
Dates are October 12th – 17th and will be hosted at the World Class Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas.
This Blog introduces another one of our very special presenters of which our attendees will be blessed to hear it from one of the most accredited professionals in the Pawn Industry today!
Currently we have more than a dozen high-level presenters at this years event!
Next up, I am very proud to introduce a long-term friend of mine and PCG’s – Mr. Kevin Prochaska!
Kevin’s background is extensive and I had the privilege to work with Kevin several decades back when we were building the Doc Holliday’s brand out of Austin Texas many years ago before we sold that multi-state operation to one of the public companies.
Kevin Prochaska is a seasoned financial services executive, entrepreneur, and wealth diversification strategist with 45 years of experience in the pawn industry.

In addition to having held leadership positions at some of the most prominent pawn companies in the country, Mr. Prochaska has dedicated himself to helping select individuals strategically diversify their wealth and create long-term financial security beyond their primary income sources.
For the past 22 years, Mr. Prochaska has served as the CEO of Lombard Financial Services, L.P., a pawnshop holding company with 11 locations in Northeast Texas, in addition to a single store he founded in 1988.
Before founding Lombard, Mr. Prochaska spent over two decades in executive roles at major pawn, financial services and operating companies, including:
- Senior Vice President at Cash America – Leading strategic growth and operational expansion in one of the largest pawn and financial service companies in the U.S.
- Chief Financial Officer at EZCorp – Overseeing financial strategy and management for a key player in the pawn and alternative financial services sector.
- Chief Operations Officer at Doc Holliday’s – Managing business operations and driving efficiency in a major pawn retail chain.
- Chief Financial Officer at Premier Aviation – Overseeing financial planning and operations in the aviation industry.
- President and Treasurer of the National Pawnbrokers Association – Advocating for the industry and shaping policies that impact pawn businesses nationwide.
Mr. Prochaska holds an MBA in Small Business Finance and Real Estate (1984–1986) and a BBA in Accounting (1982–1984) from The University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Prochaska is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), licensed by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy since April 1986.
Mr. Prochaska’s career also includes military service with the U.S. Army Security Agency, where he developed the discipline and strategic thinking that continue to shape his approach to financial strategy today.
AS a footnote, Kevin has presented at both of the Prior Pawn Symposiums that the Pawnshop Consulting Group has produced. Kevin’s knowledge, skill, and wit is unmatched anywhere in the Pawn Industry today and will be another do not miss opportunity.
Kevin’ will be doing a one-off presentation on business and life planning on legacy investing along with accumulating wealth and preparing for succession or other in the business journey in life. Something the majority of US fail to do from what I witness from a global client base.
Kevin will also be hosting with us on our panel of some of the most distinguished pawn professionals in the industry today.
