  • PCG’s Leadership Camp Updates

    Ladies and Gentlemen in Pawnland!!

It brings me great pleasure to share with all of you some of the feedback we recently experienced at our Executive Leadership Camp that we just hosted this past January up in Orlando Florida.

A word that I used a few times at our Pawn Symposium sized this event up real well, and the word is WOW!

Our attendees were provided some of the most up to date input from a variety of presenters on a wide array of topics that included:

    * The high-end watch trade as presented by Jack Hartsoe and Rob Chramosta

    * Loss Prevention techniques and information as presented by Jennifer Kanistras a former loss prevention specialist from Cash America and Value Pawn

    * Financial Benchmarking and Metrics as presented by Jerry Whitehead

    * Employee Selectivity and Productivity enhancing techniques as presented by David Johns the former Human Resource Director for Sears, Cash America, Value Pawn and LaFamilia Pawn

    * Managerial Certification Program as presented by Brad Huisken founder of IAS Training

All of this was followed up with our book camp session on day 2. This is a program that the founders of the highly successful Pawn Companies’ Value Pawn and LaFamilia Pawn, John Thedford and David Johns have been developing over the past couple of decades. This is an extremely inter active program in which participants are assigned chapters in each of the books that are presented in this 8 part series and they have to elaborate on their out takes from the readings and how they can apply the principles and or techniques described in these highly motivational reads into their daily operations.

This event is very structured and brings in the wide perspectives and views from operators from many different operational environments.

All of our guest presenters for the Book Camp provided a wonderful introspect as to how they could apply the principles studied directly into their operations while being moderated by John Thedford and David Johns.

The feedback we have received has by far exceeded our expectations along with the continued commorodary and networking that develops from these gatherings, priceless!

Here is what one of our presenters and attendees had to say about the event:

From Rachel Wilen – Gem Pawnbrokers NY

I had a great experience at the leadership camp,  although I’m sad togive up any hopes I had for a second career as an inspirational speaker.

If I can help in anyway, it would be my pleasure. I haven’t stoppedreferring to the conference to all my staff. It has set me on an exciting newpath that is already paying off in staff morale.

I will send you a picture of the leader board that we have put up. Let the gamesbegin.

The information you, Jerry and David provided to everyone at the conferenceis not only inspirational, but has changed my whole corporate plan. I havea new fire for this business that I haven’t felt for a long time.

Thank you for the personal time,  guidance and advice you and David gave to me,that is completely invaluable.

If there is anything I can do to further your efforts, Please,  do not hesitate to ask.

Plans are underway for our second Executive Leadership Camp, we will be at the Marriott Airport Orlando location again – dates are March 14th – 16th.  The book we have selected for the book camp portion of this camp is “First Break all the Rules” written by Marcus Buckingham and Curt Coffman two of the principals from the Gallup Organization. This work is a combination of their research from thousands of organizations around the world and what it takes to be the best of the best. This piece promises to be one of our highlights of this 8 part series and is an absolute must for those seeking refined input and techniques to model your operational approaches after.

We already have this group more than halfway filled, if you have any interest in attending the next session of our 8 part series do not hesitate to contact us immediately.

If your unable to attend this event please contact us directly to get on our lists for the next round of dates for our ongoing series.

Space is extremely limited do to the interactive nature that is designed into our programs.

We look forward to a bright and prosperous future for all our beloved friends, family and fellow brothers and sisters in Pawnland!

    Sincerely,

    Jerry Whitehead
