The PCG Executive Focus Group will gather in Evansville, Indiana, October 8–10, 2026, continuing a remarkable 14-year tradition of pawnbrokers learning, challenging and growing together. Led by Pawnshop Consulting Group, this longstanding group brings experienced pawnshop owners and executives together to share ideas, compare results and strengthen their businesses.
This year’s gathering will be hosted by fellow focus group member Pawn to Cash. The group will visit both Pawn to Cash locations for an inside look at the company’s operations, customer experience, merchandising, lending practices and management systems.
Unlike a traditional conference, PCG’s Executive Focus Groups are built around candid conversations and real operating results. Members openly review financial performance, compare key metrics, discuss successes and failures, and challenge one another to identify meaningful opportunities for improvement.
Inside the Evansville Gathering
Members will arrive Thursday, October 8, and stay at the Legends Hotel property at Bally’s Evansville.
Friday will begin with a group breakfast, followed by tours of both Pawn to Cash locations. After lunch, the group will return to the hotel for its executive working sessions.
The afternoon agenda will include:
Financial metrics and performance review
Best and worst practices presented by the Pawn to Cash management team
Operational observations from the store tours
Constructive critiques and recommendations
Group discussion of current challenges and opportunities
Practical ideas members can implement in their own businesses
The day is expected to conclude with a group dinner in Evansville before most members depart Saturday morning.
What Makes a PCG Executive Focus Group Different?
PCG Executive Focus Group meetings are designed to go far beyond the traditional conference or classroom environment. Members bring actual operating experience, financial results and management challenges to the table, creating an opportunity for meaningful peer-to-peer analysis among experienced pawnshop owners and executives.
Store tours are an important part of that process. Walking through an operating pawnshop allows members to evaluate the customer experience, merchandising, inventory presentation, lending practices, staffing, workflow and management systems in a real-world environment. The objective is not simply to identify what a host company does well, but to recognize opportunities that can produce measurable improvements.
Financial accountability is equally important. Members compare key performance indicators, discuss trends and examine the operational decisions behind the numbers. That transparency allows the group to identify strengths, expose potential weaknesses and share practical strategies that have produced results in their own companies.
Most importantly, the PCG Executive Focus Group creates an environment where experienced operators can challenge one another constructively. Members leave with ideas they can take back to their own businesses, implement and measure—then return to the group prepared to discuss the results.
Over the years, these meetings have demonstrated that some of the most valuable ideas come directly from fellow operators who have faced the same challenges. That combination of experience, transparency and accountability remains at the heart of the PCG Executive Focus Group.
Peer collaboration and professional development continue to play an important role throughout the pawn industry, including through organizations such as the National Pawnbrokers Association.
Fourteen Years of the PCG Executive Focus Group
For 14 years, this PCG Executive Focus Group has created an environment where experienced pawnshop owners and executives can speak openly, compare results and learn from people who understand the realities of operating a pawn business.
The value extends well beyond spreadsheets and store tours. These gatherings build trusted relationships, strengthen leadership and create accountability among owners committed to improving their companies and the pawn industry.
Pawnshop Consulting Group is proud to bring this exceptional group together once again—and this October, PCG’s legendary Executive Focus Group is descending on Evansville.
We extend our appreciation to Pawn to Cash and its management team for opening their doors and hosting what promises to be another productive and memorable gathering.
